Jake Marley is stuck.

A police detective, recently retired to a village in Wiltshire, adrift between his wide beam barge and the local pub, lost in memories of the past. Prompted by signs from the universe, he undertakes a long overdue journey of discovery across Europe, ultimately finding himself on a walking holiday in the Austrian Alps.

But just as he struggles to leave the ghosts of the past behind, a whole new set of ghosts are rising to take their place.

A poignant and compelling debut novel, Marley’s Ghosts follows a man as he searches for a sense of peace, but finds only more dark secrets.
JP Sheerin is a writer living in Wiltshire with his wife, his dog and his three-legged cat. In 2009 he won the British Feature Screenplay Competition organised by the UK Film Council. He has since written several screenplays. Marley's Ghosts is his first novel.
