How long does the menopause last?

To HRT or not to HRT?

The menopause can seem scary and confusing to many people. Menopause is Really Strange, the newest addition to the Really Strange series, demystifies and destigmatises this natural period of hormonal transition.

Acknowledging how varied one's experience of the menopause can be, this book explores the current scientific understanding of this phase of life and suggests ways to navigate it and come out the other side stronger than ever. In accessible and inclusive language, Katie Day and Sophie Standing also look at how cultural differences, ethnicity, neurodiversity and one's gender identity can impact this period of life. Discussing potential symptoms and ways to alleviate them and providing a neutral and balanced perspective on options like HRT, Menopause is Really Strange provides a helpful overview for anyone seeking insight.

A beautifully illustrated, thoroughly researched and evidence-based account of the menopause, this book educates and empowers readers to learn and speak about the menopause without shame.
