THE MUST-READ AUTOBIOGRAPHY OF THE MANCHESTER UNITED LEGEND AND MANAGER
Michael Carrick was the heartbeat of Manchester United. The player who made them tick A talent that was formed in the famous Wallsend Boys Club and honed by some of the world's most revered managers, including Harry Redknapp, Fabio Capello and Sir Alex Ferguson.
In his book, he reveals how to win relentlessly, shines a light on how his ideas about football took shape, invites us to experience the camaraderie and clashes inside the United dressing room, illuminates the qualities that make up the United DNA and lets us feels what it's like to walk out on the Old Trafford pitch alongside some of the biggest names in the game - from Ronaldo to Scholes to Giggs, Rooney and the rest.
In a professional career that spanned almost two decades, Michael won twelve major trophies at United, winning the Premier League five times, as well as three League Cups, the FA Cup, the Europa League, the Club World Cup and the Champions League. But his reputation goes beyond the silverware. Known for being a deep thinker of the game, his tactical know-how and his ability to read a game's situation in a split-second, he's taken the qualities that earned him legendary status on the pitch to his blossoming career as manager - earning his stripes at Middlesbrough and now transferring his experience and qualities in the dug-out at Manchester United.
In Between the Lines, Michael honestly reveals for the first time his battles with mental health, growing up in the north-east, his struggles with the national side, the redemption he has found with his family and his team, and his unique football philosophy.
