She has recieved serveral honors and awards including the Lilly Endowment Teaching Fellow from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, the Jonathan Hughes Prize for Excellence in Teaching Economic History from the Economic History Association, and the Distinguished Teaching Award Recipient from the University of California, Berkeley. She is a member of several organizations including the American Economic Association, Committee for the Status of Women in the Economics Profession, Economic History Association, and the Social Science History Association.
