Wina Eberhard is a retired teacher and author-illustrator. She felt that she could no longer use her passion and creativity in education, where more and more fixed methods were used. She started photographing and sculpting until the idea for a picture book surfaced. She took the bull by the horns and made one illustration after another behind her easel. In 2020 she won the International Key Colors Illustrators Award.
