There is a chapter on how to achieve accurate colours and markings, including lozenge types, with paint, airbrushing and decals. Finally, special focus on fine details, such as rigging, engines, interiors and ordinance is given.
Dave Hooper has been interested in aircraft models since his childhood. He has built World War I models for twenty years and won many awards and trophies including Golds at the UK Nationals. He has also written many articles for many publications including Scale Aircraft Modelling, Scale Aviation Modeller International, IPMS Magazine and Scale Models International. In 2015 he won the Bob Downey Memorial award for the best article published in the IPMS magazine for that year.
