Discover a world of dragons, djinn and denizens of the dark with Monsterlogica, an enchanting compendium of 50 mythical creatures from around the world.
From lumbering trolls to uncanny hybrids and mischievous trickster spirits, monsters have taken countless forms in folklore around the world. Monsterlogica brings these beings vividly to life, pairing each stunning portrait with centuries of legend to reveal what makes every creature extraordinary.
Divided into three clear chapters, this book covers:
- Monsters including the Kraken Norse legend and Adaro, a shark that swims in the Pacific.
- Beasts such as Amarok, a monstrous wolf that roam the Arctic regions, and Haetae a horned lion that fearlessly upholds justice.
- Magical Beings including Giant, a super-sized humanoid with supernatural strength, Kitsune, a Japanese shapeshifting fox spirit and Piasa, a hybrid creature that haunts the Mississippi.
Some of these creatures are terrifying, others friendly and more than a few have a taste for mischief. One thing they all have in common is that the world they dwell in is not so far from our own . . .
Weaving together myths and mysteries, fact and fantasy, this must-have illustrated treasury makes for a spellbinding keepsake that will reveal something new every time you revisit.
