Are you ready for even more killer cuties? These adorable animals are venomous, vicious, and downright villainous. Don't be misled by their sweet eyes and furry faces!
That wide-eyed quoll? It's a fierce predator with jaws strong enough to crush dinner in a single bite! The pint-sized burrowing owl? Those talons aren't just for show—they'll snatch a meal and steal the home of their prey. And America's own opossum? Fifty razor-sharp teeth, perfect for munching everything from berries to snakes!
With laugh-out-loud humor and jaw-dropping facts, this irresistible picture book will have readers gasping, giggling, and learning about the not-so-sweet survival instincts behind nature's cutest faces. Just like the first in the series, it is perfect for animal lovers who like their facts a little wild—one read, and you'll never look at a "cute" critter the same way again!
Brooke Hartman is an Alaskan mom who seriously loves to write not-so-serious books for kids. Her writing has garnered multiple awards, including honors from The Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators, Writer’s Digest, Pacific Northwest Writers Association, and the Alaska Writers Guild. She also serves as an occasional instructor of writing for Alaska Pacific University and member of the board of directors for the Alaska Writers Guild, and was an SCBWI Tribute Fund Scholarship Recipient. When she isn’t writing, you can find her having fun with her family, enjoying all the magic life has to offer.
María García is a children's book illustrator from Seville, Spain. She loves designing diverse characters, from children to anthropomorphic animals and creatures, and stories that children can empathize with while they have fun and learn to build a better world. She loves fantasy and mystery stories and her work is mainly digital, but in her free time she paints gouache illustrations with which she has participated in some exhibitions.
