Peter Redford was a Metropolitan police detective for thirty years, working on specialist squads at Scotland Yard targeting dangerous and violent criminals. On retirement, he moved back to his native Sussex and worked for the local constabulary. Now he writes from his wide-ranging police experience. His first novel, ‘An Urgent Murder’ (under the pseudonym Alex Winchester) introduced John Whiles as he investigated a chilling murder in a small Sussex village. He is currently working on his third book.
