Liesbet Slegers was born in Belgium in 1975. She studied graphics and illustration at the St Lucas School of Arts in Antwerp. She works as a full-time graphic designer and illustrator. In her many books, Liesbet frequently focuses on the first experiences of childhood, a time she characterizes as exciting but also very scary.
