My Dog Eats Better Than Me is 60 recipes of healthy meals and treats for dogs.

My Dog Eats Better Than Me is for dog lovers who understand that dogs are family and deserve to be catered for accordingly with nourishing, considered meals and treats, from biscuits to main meals, from puppies to doggie celebrations.

In this fully photographed, beautiful book (starring a cast of pooches, big, small and in-between), authors Fiona Rigg and Jacqui Melville offer tips on dog nutrition, ingredients to use (and avoid) and storage tips as well as easy visual recipe references for people who are looking to create a homemade diet for their dog with specific attributes (such as vegan, low calorie, digestive aid, and calming). My Dog Eats Better Than Me also offers a bonus chapter on wellness that includes doggie yoga and spa treatments.

Fiona Rigg is a long-time food stylist and recipe developer who has worked with many leading industry figures before finding her calling in the canine world and establishing her award-winning PAWDinkum brand of bespoke dog snacks and spa treatments. She works from a studio kitchen in Red Hill South, on Victoria's Mornington Peninsula, and her many qualifications include diplomas from Le Cordon Bleu Culinary School and Leith's Cookery School in London. Between recipe development and photo shoots, she continues her extensive studies, and recently qualified as a Vinyasa yoga instructor in Goa, India. She now holds doga (dog yoga) classes for humans and their dogs.

Jacqui Melville studied photography at RMIT and has been shooting food and drinks for the past fifteen years. She is currently based in London, where she shoots and runs workshops from her studio, Ginger Studios. She has worked on over thirty cookbooks, countless campaigns, editorial spreads and shot for many high profile chefs and celebrity cooks. Jacqui has always had a deep passion for food and loves nothing more than a challenge around how to make food more engaging and tasteful for friends, whatever their preferences. Creating an informative and fun dog-orientated cookbook is the next step in her journey as a professional photographer and dog’s best friend. She lives with her husband and their dog Radar, a characterful Airedale Terrier.
