Paul Murry (1911-1989) was an American cartoonist and comic artist known for his work on the Mickey Mouse and Goofy Disney comics published from 1946 to 1984. Murry recognized that Goofy could bring a unique blend of comedy and humor to his art. He was responsible for introducing Goofy’s classic confounded pose, with his hand covering his mouth. His contributions established him as one of the most prominent American Disney comic artists in the 1960s.
