Poor Cinderella is made to sweep, cook and clean, and yet she always shows kindness to her mean stepsisters. This storybook boasts sparkles and spells, heroes and villains, and a triumphant happy ending.

It's never too early to introduce children to the magic and wonder of fairy tales. Classic characters are brought to life at each turn of the page with spellbinding artwork and lyrical writing. A visual glossary at the beginning introduces new vocabulary and promotes understanding. A lively activity at the end invites discussion and will make even the very youngest children want to return to these story books again and again. In this story, young readers can select their own fabulous outfits for the ball from the pages of a catalogue, just like Cinderella's step-sisters did!

Fairy tales are a vital introduction to the basics of storytelling like setting, characters and plot. They boost a child's imagination and also teach valuable life lessons about good overcoming evil, the difference between right and wrong and the importance of rising to a challenge.

Also available: Jack and the Beanstalk, Goldilocks and the Three Bears, Little Red Riding Hood.

Pat-a-Cake takes you and your child on a magical journey. From sharing the very first baby book to watching your little one read all by themselves. The adventure begins here . . . After trying a wide variety of jobs including shepherd, paddle-steamer stewardess and chalet maid, Rachel Elliot's first book, Wide Awake Jake, was published in 2004. Since then she has written over 150 books for children, from fun baby books to picture books, early readers, annuals and series fiction. Rachel lives in Devon with her husband Richard, their two daughters and Richard's vintage motorbikes. When she's not writing, her favourite things include reading, cooking, and driving to the beach with the roof down. Tim Budgen is a freelance illustrator and Art teacher. He's illustrated Pugicorn and the Magic Pet Shop series, the Lizzie and Lucky series by Megan Rix, 20 Dinosaurs at Bedtime by Mark Sperring and many more amazing children's books. For much of his life he has been scribbling down ideas and can usually be found with a pencil in one hand and a sketchbook in the other! He lives by the sea on Hayling Island, England, with his wife Julia.
