Nature's Tributes is the first tension-filled instalment in the Nature's War series, following human tribute Rosalind as she is thrown into the world of the fae, forced to compete alongside other human contestants in Nature's Trials, a series of lethal challenges based on the seven deadly sins.
No one but you can control your actions.
But are you ruled by your mind... or your heart?
Beyond these doors, we will find out.
As punishment for destroying her lands, Nature has selected six human tributes to enter the realm of the fae and compete in her lethal trials.
Most will die. Perhaps all.
This is the brutality of Nature.
When Rosalind wakes up in the land of Eleria, chosen as one of the six, her only thought is of survival. Paired with the mischievous, handsome Winter fae Aalto, she must set aside her distrust of the fae if she is to stand a chance of making it through the trials.
But what happens when she finds herself battling for more than just her life?
'The Hunger Games meets fantasy and fae - so much fun!' - Hayley Anderton, author of A Thorn Among Roses and the Apocalypse series
Jade Ford has an undergraduate degree in Zoology and a MSc in Genomic Medicine. She sees magic in the beauty of nature, and for years she dreamt of combining her fascination with science with her love for the mystical, leading to her debut fantasy novel Nature's Tributes, a quirky combination of fae, magic, and the repercussions of upsetting Nature.
She lives in the stunning county of Hampshire with her nurse husband (who prompts her intake of food & fluids when she gets too engrossed in reading!) and her two beautiful daughters. She spent her zoology days studying snails in Africa and is now happily analysing the story of your DNA in a molecular pathology lab with a lovely team who are well used to her eccentricities and seeing her head hidden in a book during lunchbreaks.
A proud book dragon, she can be bribed away from her hoard of books with offerings of cups of tea and biscuits (although she'd really prefer to have them alongside!).
