Nellie Choc-Ice (the greatest penguin explorer in the world!) and Jeremy Strong return to fight the scourge of plastic in this funny and thoughtful gem.

Nellie Choc-Ice is on her way home to the North Pole at last! But things don't go so smoothly when Captain Beardy-Beard's trusty submarine grinds to a halt in an island of plastic – and they aren't the only ones who are trapped. It's up to Nellie to untangle everyone from the mess … But what are they going to do about all this plastic in the ocean?A touching and funny Little Gem from an author-illustrator dream team!

Jeremy Strong is a former head teacher and multi-award-winning children’s author, a fact recognised by 10 Downing Street when Jeremy was invited to speak to the Prime Minister as a reading ambassador. He launched the popular Read for My School campaign with Book Trust and is their high-profile figurehead for the scheme. His books for Barrington Stoke have sold over 200,000 copies.

Jamie Smith has worked as an illustrator for over 15 years. He says his first art-related memory was drawing a hamster to impress his new teacher. It was a fine hamster, and pencils and paper have been Jamie’s constant companions ever since. He lives in Surrey, where he works in a studio at the bottom of the garden with a spaniel for company.
