This work proposes a new American economic Community as a response to the rise of the European Community and the increasing domination of the Asian market by Japan. The author develops a strategy and structure for such an American community--including North, Central, and South America--which would represent the largest economic market in the world. JERRY M. ROSENBERG is Professor of Management at the Graduate School of Management at Rutgers University in New Jersey.
