Now is Now Tokyo captures the dynamic essence of Tokyo through street photography, captured from the distinctive perspectives of several photographers. Their images show fleeting moments, the vibrant culture, and the diverse facets of the city, offering an intimate, multi-layered exploration of urban life in one of the world's most visually fascinating cities. For fans of Japan, photography enthusiasts, art lovers, culture explorers, and collectors, this book presents Tokyo as never before - diverse, surprising, and endlessly fascinating, now finally in one volume.

Born in Poland, raised in the U.S., and living in Tokyo since 2008, Lukasz Palka is an urban photographer focused on the layered complexity of the Tokyo Metropolis. His work spans street photography, urban landscapes, and urbex, capturing the city as a living organism — vibrant, chaotic, and endlessly compelling. Drawing inspiration from photography legends like Eggleston, Leiter, and Webb, as well as cyberpunk visions such as Blade Runner and Ghost in the Shell, Palka explores Tokyo as both reality and constructed dream, documenting its stories through light, shadow, and concrete. His photo book Tokyo Unseen was published by teNeues in 2023.
