This world of ours buzzes and fizzes with light. Phone glare. Screen blare. It's so noisy and bright. We're scrolling, eyes flicking but what do we see? Am I seeing you? Are you seeing me? This life-affirming picture books takes readers on an adventure away from the glare of phone screens. Admire the wonderful world around us and take a moment to appreciate spending time with loved ones. Gentle rhyming text from Nicola Edwards and stirring, inspiring artwork from Jenny Bloomfield reminds us how much wonder and magic is out there if we put down our phones. From the author of What a Wonderful Phrase and Happy: A Children's Book of Mindfulness.
Nicola Edwards was raised by the seaside in beautiful Brighton. She loves reading, dancing, rhyming and turquoise things. She now lives with her husband and children in North London and spends her days writing and editing children's books. She has been nominated for the UKLA and Blue Peter Book awards and is a two-time Parenting Product Awards winner. Jenny Bloomfield graduated with an MA in Children's Book Illustration from Cambridge School of Art in 2019. An avid sketchbooker, she draws everyday and enjoys transforming her everyday observations into book illustrations. She lives in Leeds and works from a studio at the bottom of her garden.
