The stakes couldn’t be higher for Adam Drake.

A girl trafficked and sold to the highest bidder, a teenager dead from toxic drugs and a Chinese deception on a global scale.

When Adam Drake agrees to help his former army Chaplain track down the killer of his friend's son, he finds himself in a dark world of cover-up, deceit and international spies.

With Taiwan’s freedom hanging in the balance, the girl’s life is not the only thing relying on Drake’s next step.

A fast-paced, action-packed thriller with a plot that could be tomorrow's headline.

Scott Matthews lives in Oregon, where he met his wife, attended the University of Oregon and earned degrees in Journalism and Law. He served in the Oregon National Guard, first as a CBR Specialist and later as a JAG officer. That's the bare bones of his Bio. The rest of the story is that he got hooked reading Ian Fleming's James Bond novels at an early age and has read just about everything in that genre since then. He outlined stories he intended to write for years before he finally sat down and wrote THE ASSASSIN'S LIST, the start of the Adam Drake Thriller series. He likes wine, especially wine from Oregon's wine country, fishing and hunting and following Formula One racing. And, of course, reading thrillers.
