REBECCA A. BUCK retired as Deputy Director for Collection Services and Chief Registrar at the Newark Museum, Newark, NJ. She was formerly registrar at the Hood Museum of Art, Dartmouth College (1982-1990) and at the University of Pennsylvania Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology, Philadelphia (1990-1995). She was curator of collections at the Cheney Cowles Memorial Museum (now Northwest Museum of Arts & Culture), Spokane, WA, from 1975-1982. She holds degrees from Oberlin College and Boston University and taught in the museum professions program at Seton Hall University. Rebecca has been a MAP II surveyor and chaired RC-AAM (2000-2002) and the Standing Professional Committee Council (2001-2001). Rebecca is an avid birder and a lover of cacophonous music.



JEAN ALLLMAN GILMORE retired after 31 years as Registrar of the Brandywine River Museum, Chadds Ford, PA. She earned a B.A. from Wittenberg University and an M.A. from the University of Wyoming and completed the museum studies program at the University of Delaware. In addition to serving as chair of MAAM-RC, she was secretary of the MAAM Board of Governors. Jean served two terms as vice-president of ARCS. She spends her free time knitting, studying Italian, and playing with her dogs and cat.



IRENE TAURINS is Director of Registration at the Philadelphia Museum of Art where she has worked since 1978. She oversees the documentation and movement of works of art into, out of, and within the Museum, physically and legally. She has organized and circulated many special exhibitions. Irene was a Founding Director of the Association of Registrars and Collections Specialists (ARCS) and served as Corresponding Secretary for three years. She wrote the chapter on “Shipping” for The New Museum Registration Methods, in 1998, and again for MRM5 in 2010 and for MRM6 in 2020. She has been a courier on many occasions, including an “around the world” courier trip from Philadelphia to Toronto to Taipei to Paris and back to Philadelphia in one week. Prior to joining the Philadelphia Museum of Art, Irene was the Registrar/Administrator at Sotheby’s, New York, where she was instrumental in introducing and implementing new forms and procedures for inventory control of works of art. When she is not registering, she enjoys travel and warm water snorkeling.
