A laugh-out-loud spooky tale about a lonely zombie who is very, very hungry…hungry for friends, that is!
“OOPS! I just ate you!” I said with a slurp.
My small belly grew as I let out a burp.
Being “un-dead” is AWESOME. No parents! No school! But something is off — this zombie just can’t R.I.P. Why? Because he’s always hungry . . . but it’s not brains he has a mouth-watering hankering for. He’s hungry for making friends!
When he sets out in search of buddies, the zombie meets a boy on a bike, a girl with an artistic flair, some joggers, and even an angry mob. There is only one problem: He keeps EATING them! They each go down with a slurp and his belly grows inch by inch with each new pal he makes. As a result, the zombie is still lonely and craving a companion. Hey . . . will YOU be his friend?

As a child, he loved listening to his grandmother Antonia read him stories by Oscar Wilde and tales from Greek mythology. Joaquín mixes digital and traditional techniques, using many different materials for his art. He especially loves markers — in fact, he still uses the same brand from when he was a kid.
