Do you think you could spot the symbol for an apple? Or a train? From a walk in the park to a trip to the seaside, this book guides readers to learn new symbols through search and find!

This unique book explores day-to-day vocabulary through a fun search and find approach. Throughout Out and About, the reader is introduced to symbols for food, types of transport, weather and sporting actions. Beautifully illustrated, this board book is ideal for beginner readers, readers learning English as a second language and as an enhancement of classroom reading in any setting.

About the Learning Symbols Series:

With symbols and vibrant illustrations, this Learning Symbols book is the perfect resource to help young children with learning difficulties to develop their early language and communication skills. Every cover will have a sensory feature to assist with sensory output. All symbolised books are further supported by a signing video.

Esme, who originally graduated from the University of Brighton as a 2D print designer now translates her work into illustration. Using bold colours and a strong graphic look, Esme loves to bring narrative and storytelling to life in a unique way. Still based in Sunny Brighton, Esme lives with her pet duck, who loves cucumber. Esme loves to sit by the pier and doodle. She usually starts her doodles drawing traditionally with pen and paper but refines and colours them digitally after, to ensure the best outcome.
