Oxford International Science teaches students the skills they need to become confident scientists. This three-level lower secondary course (books 7-9) will provide students with a strong grasp of scientific concepts and topics.
Through an enquiry-based approach, Oxford International Science encourages active collaboration, develops scientific knowledge, skills, and understanding, stimulates curiosity, and promotes a joy of learning. The topics covered ask students big questions and encourage them to make connections to the real world. Key word boxes allow students to build scientific vocabulary and student-friendly learning objectives enable students to take charge of their learning.
Jo Locke is a Biology teacher and author of many science school books, notably Activate and AQA Activate, as well as OCR GCSE Biology. Helen Reynolds has written for Activate, AQA Activate, OCR GCSE Physics, and Oxford Revise AQA GCSE Sciences. Chemistry, on which course she was also the Series Editor. Previously a Chemistry teacher and latterly a tutor for the PGCE in Science at Oxford University, she currently works in science communication at the
