He retired as a lieutenant colonel in the US Army Reserves having served 18 years as an armour officer in the US 2nd and 4th infantry divisions and as an intelligence officer in the 29th Infantry Division (Light).
Jim Laurier attended Paier School of Art in Hamden, Connecticut, graduating with honours. He has been commissioned to paint for the US Air Force and has aviation paintings on permanent display at the Pentagon.
Howard Gerrard studied at the Wallasey School of Art and has been a freelance designer and illustrator for over 20 years. He is an associate member of the Guild of Aviation Artists and has won both the Society of British Aerospace Companies Award and the Wilkinson Sword Trophy.
