‘Every recipe strikes the perfect balance between comfort and excitement’ - Ixta Belfrage

In her debut cookbook, Carolina Gelen shares 100 simple and comforting recipes that emphasise big flavour with minimal effort. No matter the mood or your skill level, you’ll find crowd-pleasing recipes for creative dishes using approachable, everyday ingredients.

Including influences from Carolina's Romanian upbringing, Pass the Plate will bring comfort to your kitchen and have everyone asking for seconds.

Carolina Gelen is on a mission to share her abounding love of food. Her journey began in Transylvania, Romania, where upon winning a Jamie Oliver contest, she immigrated to the United States in 2021. In America, Carolina worked in the kitchens of James Beard Award winners, developed video and recipe content for New York Times Cooking, and was a recipe resident at Food52. Simultaneously, she built an online community of millions who love her cooking and baking recipes for being so shareable, approachable, and delicious, all before the age of twenty-five. She fell in love with the beautiful nature of Utah, where she currently resides, but believes that when someone makes one of her recipes a part of her resides with them.
