Discover the untold potential of magic! Secrets of Magic, the newest hardcover rulebook for the Pathfinder Roleplaying Game! Secrets of Magic brings the popular magus and summoner classes into Pathfinder Second Edition, unlocking heroes who combine magical might with martial prowess and offering command of a powerful magical companion creature. The lavishly illustrated, 256-page rulebook contains hundreds of new spells with potent offerings for all spellcasting character classes, magic items for any player character, and lore detailing the fundamental structure and theories of magic. A special section within the volume-the “Book of Unlimited Magic”-presents new methods of spellcasting, with elementalism, geomancy, shadow magic, rune magic, and even pervasive magic to give every place and creature in your game a magical spin!

Logan was an integral member of the design team that crafted Pathfinder Second Edition, and oversees the rules engine today as Paizo’s Pathfinder Lead Designer. As a 20-year veteran of the tabletop game industry, he has over a hundred credits as a designer, author, developer, and editor. For Paizo, he oversaw the remastered core books, Secrets of Magic, Book of the Dead, Rage of Elements, NPC Core, and many more. The other games he’s worked on range widely, including Fiasco, Spectaculars, Dungeons & Dragons, and the Mistborn Adventure Game. Born on the great plains of Kansas, he graduated Fort Hays State University with a BFA in fine art. He then reversed the polarity on the flatness and dryness meters to relocate to Seattle, Washington, where he has lived since 2006. Paizo's Pathfinder Rules & Lore team is responsible for the creation and curation of the Pathfinder Roleplaying Game (currently in its second edition), setting guides for the world of Golarion released as part of the ongoing Lost Omens series, and accessories and game aids to facilitate Pathfinder and general tabletop play. With over 125 years of industry experience, the Pathfinder Rules & Lore team has earned over 46 ENnie and Origin awards. The team works in close collaboration with the Pathfinder Narrative Team to provide players and Game Masters enriching, exciting experiences in Pathfinder, and with the Starfinder Development Team to ensure a solid, shared rules foundation in the Pathfinder Second Edition rules set both games share. As unionized, remote workers, the Pathfinder Rules & Lore team is spread across the United States, with members in Indiana, Oregon, and Washington.
