Clare is a former primary school teacher, turned children's writer. She is delighted her books mean she can continue to inspire children to love language, themselves and the world around them. Inspired by her time as a mental health champion, Clare founded Books That Help, to gather picture books touching on a range of issues that help when the words are hard to find. When Clare isn't fulfilling her dream of writing for children, she is helping aspiring writers do the same. Paul Nicholls graduated with a BA Hons Degree from the North Wales School of Art & Design and has since worked for a wide variety of clients producing illustrations for the Advertising, Editorial, Fine Art, Greetings and Publishing sectors. He currently works digitally. Paul lives on the coast of Mid Wales, where he shares a studio with his partner and fellow illustrator Melanie Mitchell. In his spare time he enjoys mountain biking, golf and chasing their two children around the beach.
