This is the second of two volumes detailing Pennsylvania’s battalions and line during the American Revolutionary War from 1775 to 1783.
Volume 2 contains brief histories, rosters of field and staff officers, and rolls of enlisted Pennsylvanians and their ranks for each of several independent and non–state specific regiments. John Blair Linn (1831–1899) was a Pennsylvania lawyer, historian, and author of numerous Pennsylvania local histories.
William Henry Egle (1830–1901) was a Pennsylvania physician and author of numerous Pennsylvania local histories. He served as the Pennsylvania state librarian from 1887 to 1898.
