Albert Goldbarth has been publishing notable collections of poetry and essays for over a quarter of a century, and is the recipient of three fellowships from the National Endowment for the Arts, a Guggenheim fellowship, and twice the winner of the National Book Critics Circle Award in poetry. His previous collections of essays are A Sympathy of Souls, Great Topics of the World, Dark Waves and Light Matter and Many Circles, which received the PEN Center USA West Award for Creative Non-fiction. His most recent volume of poetry is Saving Lives.
