The UK's bestselling cricket annual returns.

The 79th edition of the Playfair Cricket Annual is packed with all the information you need to follow the cricket season in 2026, as well as a review of events during the previous twelve months.

We've had an exciting few months of all-things-cricket with the Ashes, the T20 World Cup, the Hundred auction and now the IPL and the County cricket season. As we look forward to a summer of more domestic and international cricket, the Playfair Cricket Annual is the indispensable pocket guide that you need by your side.

Featuring a detailed register of all current first-class country players and umpires, 2026 fixtures and the register of probable New Zealand and Pakistan touring teams, comprehensive Test match, limited-overs and career records, Playfair Cricket will help you follow the action like no other guide can.

For any cricket fan, the season is never complete without a copy of Playfair to guide you through it all.

Ian Marshall took over as Editor of the Playfair Cricket Annual in 2009, having previously worked on 15 editions of the annual in his role as a book publisher. During his 30-year publishing career, he has worked with some of cricket's greatest players, including Mike Atherton, Sir Ian Botham, Geoffrey Boycott, Stuart Broad, David Gower, Justin Langer, Dennis Lillee and Sir Garry Sobers. He still occasionally plays cricket, and has toured Africa, India and Sri Lanka.
