A.F. Harrold is an English poet and children's author. He spends his time showing off on stage, writing poems and books, and stroking his beard (it helps churn the ideas). He is the author of Carnegie Medal short-listed The Worlds We Leave Behind (illustrated by Levi Pinfold), the Fizzlebert Stump series (Sarah Horne), and the CILIP Carnegie and Kate Greenaway Medal long-listed The Imaginary (illustrated by Emily Gravett). The Imaginary has since been adapted into an animated film by the former Studio Ghibli lead producer, available in the UK on Netflix in 2024.
