Umberto Zapelloni, journalist and author, has followed cars, motorsports, and Formula 1 since the 1980s, when he covered Grand Prix races worldwide for Il Giornale di Montanelli. After 16 years at Il Giornale, he became head of sports and motors coverage at Corriere della Sera, then deputy director of Gazzetta dello Sport until 2018. He currently manages the sports and mobility sections of Il Foglio, runs the blog 'Top Speed', writes for Il Giornale, and is a TV commentator for Race Anatomy on Sky Sport and radio commentator for Radio 24.
