A father and his son; an apparent simple clash of wills but this conflict in 'The Prime Minister’s Son' is between the Prime Minister John McVey and his son Marcus. The father is autocratic and bullying in politics as he is towards his son but Marcus will go to any lengths to spite his father.

With the economy failing, the Prime Minister struggles to hold onto power but forming against him is a new kind of political movement; an ideal to replace the old party system with free thinking, independent Members who answer to no one but their conscience. The PM’s son joins the fray at the Movement’s conference by making a damning speech against his father. The PM employs the Special Forces to thwart his son but they uncover more than he expected and the story spirals down with drugs, money laundering and finally murder

Roger Blount was born in Brighton in 1943 and educated at Westlain Grammar School. He served in the RAF with tours to Cyprus and Aden. After leaving the RAF, he went into IT and worked for American Express where he led an international team with worldwide projects. When he retired, Roger became a keen golfer and was the Seniors Captain at the West Hove Golf Club in 2004. Since then, he has had his first novel published, a humorous story of four ageing, mischievous golfers: The Autumn Leaves. Now he devotes his time and energies to two more novels: 'The Death and Life of Joshua Crowe' and a supernatural tale: 'Charlie'.
