The logistics sector has an important place in the international economy and trade,
and project logistics services constitute an important part of the sector. Project logistics
is the whole of the services provided for the project load, such as transportation,
distribution, storage, insurance, obtaining legal permits and installation processes.
Each project logistics service is unique and requires special tools, equipment, human
resources, analysis and planning. It is a systematic process that takes into account
customer needs for materials, equipment, facilities and infrastructures, usually for
communications, energy, transportation, mining, construction and general manufacturing
facilities. This book focuses on the planning and implementation processes of
project logistics services with a comprehensive perspective. The book is thought to be
a resource for industry professionals operating in the field of project logistics, scientists
conducting academic research on the subject, and all readers who are interested
in general project management processes and want to have an idea about application
areas in a certain industry such as logistics.
