Julie A. Schumacher, PhD is Professor and Vice Chair for Education in the Dept. of Psychiatry and Human Behavior, at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, MS. Her work focuses on the intersection of alcohol and other drugs with violence and interpersonal trauma as well as methods for enhancing the dissemination and implementation of evidence based brief interventions for individuals with substance use problems. He earned his M.S. in clinical psychology in 2004 and his Ph.D. in clinical psychology in 2007 at the University of Memphis, with an emphasis in adult psychopathology and psychotherapy. Williams' research focuses on the implementation of evidence-based practices in health-care systems and qualitative research methodology.
