Nine-year-old Phoebe and Marigold, her unicorn friend, navigate music camp, friendship, and creative chaos in this funny, full-color comic strip collection for middle grade readers.

NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLING AUTHOR!

More than 2 million books sold in the series

When a local band invites Phoebe to a concert, she discovers that Marigold is not impressed—until she decides she wants to start her own punk rock band. Between glittering performances, magical mishaps with instruments, and Marigold’s over-the-top diva antics, Phoebe learns that friendship and creativity can sometimes hit all the wrong notes.

This full-color comics series about a nine-year-old girl and her unicorn best friend sparkles with laughter, friendship, and a reminder that being yourself (and having a little fun along the way) is the most extraordinary magic of all.
  • A summer camp adventure full of music, friendship, and mayhem, with a discovery about creativity, self-expression, and being yourself
  • Perfect for readers ages 8–10 who love stories full of friendship, humor, and a touch of sparkle
  • Known for its wit, heart, and friendship, the Phoebe and Her Unicorn series blends fantasy adventures with relatable everyday moments
  • Strong appeal for both reluctant and independent readers

See what happens when friendship and creativity hit full blast! A sweet, hilarious read for existing Phoebe and Her Unicorn fans and anyone new to the series alike.
Dana Claire Simpson grew up in Gig Harbor, Washington, drawing the entire time. She eventually graduated from The Evergreen State College, despite having spent all her time drawing, and not always for credit. From 1998 to 2008, she drew the internet comic strip Ozy and Millie. After winning the Amazon sponsored Comic Strip Superstar Contest in 2009, Andrews McMeel Syndication signed her to a development deal for Heavenly Nostrils, which was later renamed Phoebe and Her Unicorn. She currently lives in Santa Barbara, California, with her tech genius spouse and her fairly stupid cat.
