Scholarly investigation of English Puritanism has included descriptions of Puritan theology and preaching. The relationship between the two, however, has not been thoroughly investigated. This study focuses upon the relationship between the theology held by the puritan preacher and the content and delivery of his sermons.
Cliff Boone Cliff graduated from West Virginia University (B.S. in Wildlife Biology/Management), from Columbia Biblical Seminary, (M.Div.) and holds a Ph.D. in Theology from the The University of Wales, Lampeter. He joined the staff of Cedar Crest Bible Fellowship as Minister of Christian Education and Youth in 1986 and continued in this position until 1990. During that time a visionary plan was conceived for reaching the Sandawe people of Tanzania with the Gospel. Cliff was chosen to lead the missionary team to Tanzania. For eleven years he and the team worked in evangelism, discipleship and church-planting. He returned to the US in January 2002 to take up the position of senior Pastor.
He has translated several books into Swahili, and is the author of Puritan Evangelism. Cliff and his wife Becky have three adult children.
