Introducing simple retellings of Enid Blyton's animal stories to a young audience, especially written for children beginning to read. Each story is accompanied by beautiful colour illustrations to engage the young reader and support the text.

In this story, the animals are sure that they have found a big diamond in the garden and that it will make a pretty necklace. But then it starts to change ...

Reading Champion is an independent reading programme carefully levelled to match book bands widely used in schools. This book is suitable for readers aged 4+ and has been levelled at book band Yellow 3.

Jackie Walter has written and edited many books for children. She never gets tired of listening to and telling a good story. Jackie lives in Cornwall with her husband and young daughters. Rosie Edwards is an illustrator based in Northern Ireland. She has a degree in Textiles from Cardiff Metropolitan University and experience in designing homeware, stationery and greetings cards, focusing on children's products. Rosie's inspired by the world building and character design of Disney and Pixar. She is also appreciative of the craftsmanship of stop-motion animation, such as Aardman Animations. Fascinated with ancient civilisations and global cultural history, Rosie loves to travel. If she wasn't an artist she'd like to be cabin crew for a long-haul airline. Luckily, being a freelance illustrator gives her the same freedom, just sadly without the fabulous uniform.
