A comprehensive handbook for CP coordinators, PPS coordinators and teachers, and Reflective Project coordinators and supervisors. Whether you are taking on a new role or looking to extend your practice, the handbook provides practical advice, tools and examples to help you and your students succeed in the Core of the IB Career-Related Programme.

Design and implement an effective curriculum for the CP Core through Personal and Professional Skills, with expert guidance from four experienced IB educators.

Short digestible chapters are designed to build confidence and help teachers and coordinators feel fully prepared in their roles.

Top tips and Examples cover practicalities from staffing and timetabling to different ways of grouping students and crafting a responsive classroom culture, to help you identify the right path for your school.

Chapters model the process of mapping and planning inquiries to suit each cohort, with activities and opportunities for reflection designed to help teachers and coordinators review their practice and programme in response to students’ needs.

Practical tools and templates support Reflective Project supervisors to make the most of their sessions with students and help them overcome challenges. Examples can be used with learners to demonstrate the pros and cons of different project formats, to explore the assessment criteria and to show how they can put ideas into practice.

Student and teacher Insights demonstrate the benefits of the Core in the IB Career-related Programme and beyond.
