This practical and user-friendly handbook supports students in each stage of researching and producing a Reflective Project. Written by two experienced IB educators, the handbook shows students how to excel in and enjoy this vital element of the Career-related Programme. It is aligned with the latest guide for first assessment in 2027.

Written and presented in a clear and accessible way to help students tackle the Reflective Project with confidence.

Breaks the process into achievable steps, giving students the understanding they need to work independently and make the most of their supervision sessions.

Offers tools and techniques to help students understand how to choose an ethical dilemma; construct an effective research question; plan and conduct research; analyse, evaluate and present their findings; produce a project draft and finalise their submission.

Encourages students to reflect on and improve their work. Examples from a range of career-related studies model different ways of approaching each stage of the process, to help learners understand the assessment criteria and boost their achievement.

Supports metacognition with Reflection tasks and Activities to prompt students to record thoughts and ideas in their Learning journals, building evidence for the Final Reflection Form.

Includes essential guidance on research and referencing skills, including how to use AI ethically and document its use.

Shows the benefits of the Reflective Project for further study and future careers, with real-life case studies from former CP students.

Key takeaways checklists summarise the learning in each chapter, for easy reference.
