‘It feels as if a gigantic, rolling wave is washing over me.’

This book is perfect to introduce anxiety to family members, friends, teachers and those wanting to learn more about living with anxiety. Designed to help readers understand people’s differences, this book details one person’s experience of anxiety. Not everyone’s experience is the same.

Through colourful, dynamic illustrations this book guides the reader through what anxiety is, reactions to anxiety and how feelings of anxiety don’t last forever, once you ride its wave.

Daniel McMurray has worked within Special Educational Needs for many years. He has a passion for ensuring young people with disabilities are well equipped for adulthood, both through academic qualifications and through delivering Independent Living Skills Programmes. He is the Head Teacher of the Secondary Department of an Independent Specialist School in Leicester. Becoming a publishing author was something he didn’t foresee. However, his wit and ability to empower people through books is something he is immensely proud of. When he isn't working in school, he can be found listening to his extensive record collection and spending family time with his wife and daughters.

Andy Smith studied illustration at the University of Brighton and the Royal College of Art, London. His work combines illustration and typography to create images that have humour, energy and optimism executed with a handmade, hand-printed, tactile feel. When not producing commercial work for clients Andy can be found in the studio screen printing books and posters. He lives and pretends to work by the sea in Hastings, East Sussex. His favourite colour is blue.
