Mitchell Bernard is anattorney practicing in New York City. He was an Arthur Garfield Hays Civil Liberties Fellow at New York University School of Law, served as pro selaw clerk to the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, and is presently chairman of the ACLU Equality Committee.

Ellen Levine is an attorney with the Prisoners’ Rights Project of the Legal Aid Society of New York City where she specializes in federal civil rights litigation on behalf of prisoners. She was an Arthur Garfield Hays Fellow at New York University Law School. She has written extensively about the women’s movement and feminist issues.

Stefan Presser is Legal Director of the Greater Houston Chapter of the American Civil Liberties Union. He is a graduate of the New York University Law School, where he was a Root-Tilden scholar and an Arthur Garfield Hays Fellow.

 

Marianne Stecich is a graduate of New York Uni­versity Law School, where she was an Arthur Garfield Hays Fellow and a member of the New York Univer­sity Law Review. She is currently in private practice in Tarrytown, New York and serves on the Equality Committee of the ACLU.
