Mitchell Bernard is anattorney practicing in New York City. He was an Arthur Garfield Hays Civil Liberties Fellow at New York University School of Law, served as pro selaw clerk to the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, and is presently chairman of the ACLU Equality Committee.
Ellen Levine is an attorney with the Prisoners’ Rights Project of the Legal Aid Society of New York City where she specializes in federal civil rights litigation on behalf of prisoners.
