This classic illustrated book version of the story behind the Oscar-nominated animated film Robin Robin, created by Aardman for Netflix is a real treat. Written by the film's directors and beautifully illustrated by Briony May Smith, this book is perfect for sharing with young children.

The mouse family all love Robin, and she is so keen to fit in, she pulls her feathers into ears . . . but nothing can make a noisy, rather clumsy, bird good at sneaking crumbs for the family without disturbing the dreaded cat!

Robin Robin is a warm and funny story to win the hearts of families everywhere.

Briony May Smith grew up in Sandhurst in Berkshire, playing in the garden with her younger brother and sister. She studied Illustration at Falmouth University and was Highly Commended for the Macmillan Children’s book prize in 2013 and 2014. She now lives in Devon, where her work day mainly consists of drawing, interrupted only when her dog, Finbar, demands his walk. Briony’s work is inspired by fairy tales and folklore and life in the countryside, as demonstrated so beautifully in Robin Robin.

Dan Ojari and Mikey Please are award-winning animators and alumni of the Royal College of Art. Together they
co-founded Parabella Studios where they produce short films and music videos; their relaunch trailer for The Great British Bake Off earned the pair a Cannes Silver Lion award from Film Craft in Animation. More recently, Dan and Mikey joined Aardman to co-write and direct the animated musical special, Robin Robin, the story of which is told in this, their first picture book.
