Rosie is a good writer, so how come she can’t come up with a single good story idea when her friend Wolfie has a million ideas? Rosie knows all the elements needed for a great story, but she wants her story for a class project to be really great - and that means giving it a surprise twist. Then Wolfie himself unwittingly inspires the perfect idea for the “twist” Rosie has been looking for. But will using it make her story better or ruin her friendship with Wolfie? Author Maya Myers, a former teacher and classroom literacy specialist, infuses this tale with clever curricula and captures the antics, excitement, drama and hilarity of a primary school. Rich back matter offers additional curriculum support.
Maya Myers writes books for kids and edits books for kids and adults. She’s a former teacher and loves cooking, gardening, and (of course) reading—just like Rosie! Originally from Maine, she now lives in Charlotte, North Carolina, with her husband, author-illustrator Matt Myers, who has more ideas than Wolfie. They have three kids, six chickens, and a twenty-three-pound cat named Hoss. Eleanor Howell is a British writer and illustrator currently living in Toronto, Canada. She is interested in storytelling in its many forms, and has two Master's Degrees in Museum Studies and Archiving and is embarking on her third in English Literature. Eleanor loves reading, walking, and eating chocolate, but has yet to master the art of doing all three at the same time.
