Every year, the Williams Primary “Billy Goats” compete to see which pupils are the Greatest of All Time in each subject. As they watch their scores build on the big bar graph, Rosie is pretty sure she’s the GOAT for English, and Wolfie is 100% sure he’s the maths GOAT. But when the “friendly competition” turns the Billy Goats into bullies, and even good-natured Wolfie pulls out his claws, Rosie wants to quit the contest. Then she comes up with an idea that just might make Rosie the Greatest of All Time! Author Maya Myers, a former teacher and classroom literacy specialist, infuses this tale with clever curricula and captures the antics, excitement, drama and hilarity of a primary school. Rich back matter offers additional curriculum support.
Maya Myers writes books for kids and edits books for kids and adults. She’s a former teacher and loves cooking, gardening, and (of course) reading—just like Rosie! Originally from Maine, she now lives in Charlotte, North Carolina, with her husband, author-illustrator Matt Myers, who has more ideas than Wolfie. They have three kids, six chickens, and a twenty-three-pound cat named Hoss. Eleanor Howell is a British writer and illustrator currently living in Toronto, Canada. She is interested in storytelling in its many forms, and has two Master's Degrees in Museum Studies and Archiving and is embarking on her third in English Literature. Eleanor loves reading, walking, and eating chocolate, but has yet to master the art of doing all three at the same time.
