Cecilia Alvstad is Professor of Spanish at Østfold University College, Norway, since 2022. Alvstad’s research interests include translation of Latin American literature, translation of children’s literature, literary translator ethics, re-translation, indirect translation, self-translation, translation and gender, and literary translation pedagogy. She has taught translation and Spanish since the mid-1990s at all levels (bachelor, master, and PhD). She was Professor of Spanish at the University of Oslo, Norway, from 2007 to 2018, and Professor of Translation Studies at Stockholm University, Sweden, from 2018 to 2022.
