An illustrated guide to the ABCs of soccer for new and old fans alike.

Soccer or football, whatever you call it, the beautiful game has a dedicated following of diehard fans, and its popularity continues to grow with every goal. S is for Soccer, F is for Football is an illustrated book devoted to the basics of the beautiful game. A is for Arsenal, O for the offside rule, Z for Zinedine Zidane – there are plenty of people, places, rules, controversies and memorable moments that are captured in this fun and beautiful illustrated hard cover book.

Author Emma Kemp has followed her fair share of World Cup games, Olympic matches and league games, and writes about the best, worst, and most memorable parts of soccer history. This engaging book is perfect for parents wanting to teach their kids the basics, or adults wanting a gift to commemorate their love of the sport.

Complete with bold illustrations, this book celebrates the remarkable world of soccer … from A to Z.
Emma Kemp is a sports journalist with the Sydney Morning Herald who has covered Women's and Men's FIFA World Cups and other tournaments in a host of countries that call their beautiful game either football or soccer. She has seen Lionel Messi make magic, watched Sam Kerr score for fun and witnessed some other pretty special moments in history - both on the field and off. She is also an author, and recently helped Matildas goalkeeper Mackenzie Arnold write her autobiography. Emma grew up in Kiama, moved to Sydney and then London, and now lives in Bowral with her partner, son, two dogs and two cats. She studied journalism at the University of Technology in Sydney and has a Master in International Relations from UNSW. When she grows up she would like to become a firefighter.

Nick Radford is an illustrator and musician based in Falmouth, UK.
