A beautifully illustrated board book that explores the life of Saint Francis of Assisi, patron saint of animals, poor people and Italy.

Discover the inspiring story of Saint Francis of Assisi, who, while born into a rich family in the 12th century, felt an innate need to help people and rejected his affluence to live a life of poverty and service to God.

Saint Francis is also known and beloved for his spiritual connection to animals. And, did you know that Saint Francis also made the first-ever nativity scene?

Each book in the Stories of Saints series brings a saint’s story to life with joyful illustrations, simple text, and a closing prayer. Kids ages 3-5 will learn how faith can shape lives and inspire acts of compassion and bravery through the life stories of these extraordinary holy figures.

This inspiring saints book includes:

  • Stunning illustrations of Saint Francis of Assisi’s story and his values and impact.
  • Easy-to-read text to engage little ones with faith at an early age.
  • A closing prayer to highlight the importance of the lessons learnt.

Erica Tapp is passionate about storytelling and Bible teaching. She has spent many years on staff in schools and at large churches in central London and St Albans. The focus of her church work was helping children and young people to read, understand, and love the Bible. She now has three young children of her own to read to, and is active in children's work in her local community. Giovana Medeiros was born in Criciuma, Brazil. She graduated in Fashion Design, but later pursued her dream and studied Illustration.
