After the smoke clears in Ireland, Mark Ryan is presumed dead. Only he’s not. He’s alive – barely – locked away under a false name in the darkest wing of Britain’s most notorious prison: Belmarsh.

Anders Beck has tried to walk away from the life, but when the CIA comes knocking with an ultimatum – break Ryan out or watch him disappear for good – he’s left with no choice. What begins as a surgical strike quickly unravels into a desperate fight for survival, as Anders and the team are thrust into a globe-trotting escape that drags them through the underworlds of London, and central Africa.

Hunted by governments, betrayed by allies, and facing enemies old and new, the team must rely on old instincts, unbreakable brotherhood, and a fair bit of luck to stay alive.

Buckle up. This isn’t just a prison break – it’s all-out war.

‘Totally compelling and realistic, Adam Captures the brutality and dark humour of the British army at their best.’
– Matthew Hellyer ex 22 SAS

Adam Knights spent nine years in the Parachute Regiment, serving on multiple tours worldwide, including Northern Ireland during the Troubles. His experiences in conflict zones sparked a deep interest in the psychology of terrorism, particularly in how young men from troubled backgrounds take vastly different paths based on their surroundings and influences.

A keen amateur military historian, Adam focuses primarily on the Second World War and British Army deployments since 1945. His passion for history is matched by his commitment to understanding military strategy, leadership, and resilience, themes that often shape his writing.

After leaving the military, Adam transitioned into the healthcare industry, where he established and successfully ran his own businesses. An entrepreneur by nature, he thrives on building and leading companies while maintaining a strong connection to his military roots.

Now based in Buckinghamshire, Adam spends his time with his family and continues to support veterans' charities, ensuring that those who have served receive the help and recognition they deserve.
