An unsettling horror novel from the Sunday Times bestselling author, for fans of Stephen King, Catriona Ward and Chuck Wendig

Your worst nightmare is about to come true…

When an overnight camping trip in the woods on Halloween night goes wrong, and a girl ends up dead with what looks like animal wounds, the whole neighbourhood is shocked.

How did it happen?

And more importantly what was it that killed her?

Carrie meets The Cabin in the Woods in this terrifying horror novel!

'Chilling and unforgettable, this imaginative and atmospheric tale has enough twists and turns to leave you travel sick right up until the spine-tingling finale. CJ Tudor meets Riley Sager in this unpredictable treat’ John Marrs

'A fun and highly readable spiderific romp, with a satisfying bite of horror!’ Susan Stokes-Chapman

'Brilliantly fun and astute spidery genius’ Natasha Pulley

'An instant cult horror classic’ Michael Wood

Frightening yet credible… a total banger. I can’t recommend enough’ John Boyne

'Chilling and thrilling, Scuttle is a masterclass in horror writing. Barnaby Walter pulls off that clever trick of blending highly relatable characters with a darkly compelling plot’ Marion Todd

‘A really dark and disturbing thriller with elements of horror… packed with "horrific" surprises and twists against a backdrop of a plausible coming of age theme’ ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

'Be careful with this book, it might change how you see your environment and you will certainly think twice before camping!’ ⭐⭐⭐

‘I was immediately sucked in by the first few chapters and, after that, the book did not let me go… highly recommended’ ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Like a horror film you might watch from behind the sofa or peeping between your fingers… it becomes scary if not terrifying on occasions… I love the book’ ⭐⭐⭐

Dark and melancholy but entertaining’ ⭐⭐⭐

'It's creepy and dark but so well-paced that even as your skin is crawling, you'll be glad you read it!’ ⭐⭐⭐⭐
